Your Personal Training Partner

If you've ever tried to lose weight or get in shape, you know how hard it can be!
Whether you're a seasoned gym goer or right at the start of your fitness journey, it can be easy to get frustrated and fall behind or give up when those setbacks hit and you don't have anyone pushing you forward, reminding you why you're doing what you're doing – and to keep doing it because it's working!
That's where having a personal trainer can help you achieve your fitness goals faster, by providing emotional support and motivation from a friendly and caring professional who will help you navigate your way down a road that can otherwise be filled with roadblocks and challenges

What our sessions will involve

A personal training session typically lasts 60 minutes, structured into a warm-up, a customised, high-intensity, full-body workout, and a cool down.
Sessions emphasise proper form, technique, and safety, covering compound movements (squats, lunges, pushing, pulling) to build strength, improve mobility, and meet specific client goals.

Key elements of a Personal Training Session

Warm-up (5-10 mins): Gentle movements, joint mobilisation, or light cardio (e.g., walking/jogging) to prepare muscles and joints.
Main Workout (30-40 mins): Tailored, planned exercises (often 2-5 different equipment pieces) aimed at the client's goals. This often involves supersets (pairing two exercises) or tri-sets for efficiency.
Focus on Form & Coaching: I will continuously monitor posture, cueing movements (e.g., core engagement, knee tracking) to prevent injury.
Cool down & Stretching (5-10 mins): Static stretching to improve flexibility and aid recovery.
Progress Tracking: Trainers track weights, sets, and repetitions to ensure progressive overload.

Initial vs. regular sessions

First session:
Often involves a "talk, train, test, and tease" structure, focusing on health history, goal setting and movement assessment.
Follow-up sessions:
Focus on consistency in the routine, building on previous progress, and addressing specific areas of development.
Sessions can take place in a gym or outdoors, and I adjust the intensity of the activity based on how my client feels that day.
